Sky News host Paul Murray says CNN praised presidential hopeful Joe Biden despite the fact he “literally said he would be able to push back the waters to stop the fires”.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has escalated his attacks on Donald Trump, arguing the president's inaction on climate change is exacerbating the devastating fires raging in America's west.
"If we have four more years of Trump’s climate denial, how many suburbs will be burned in wildfires?” Mr Biden asked during a campaign stop in Delaware on Tuesday (AEST).
“How many suburban neighborhoods will have been flooded out? How many suburbs will have been blown away in superstorms?
“If you give a climate arsonist four more years in the White House, why would anyone be surprised if we have more of America ablaze?”
“Despite the fact that he literally said he would be able to push back the waters to stop the fires, as if he was the second coming of the Son of God, 'Sleepy Joe' was praised today on the 'Biden Booster Network' CNN,” Mr Murray said.
He said according to CNN, apparently it’s President Donald Trump’s fault that “somebody let off a gender reveal firework that started one of the fires in California”.
Mr Murray said CNN ignored the fact the president wasn’t giving a speech a few meters from his home, like Biden, but was instead in California, talking to the governor and the people fighting the fires.
“Instead, (CNN) called him literally someone who should be charged with homicide because he had a rally inside,” he said.
"If it falls out of Joe Biden's mouth it is words from the second coming, if it's Donald Trump it is, of course, an act of homicide."
